Picking the Best Potential Fulham Lineup to Face Man Utd in the Premier League on Saturday

Fulham travel to Old Trafford on Saturday afternoon to take on Manchester United in the Premier League.

The West Londoners have shown signs of improvement under new boss Claudio Ranieri; Fulham have picked up their second in of the season under the Italian, and go into Saturday's game on the back of a 1-1 draw with Leicester midweek.

Although they sit at the bottom of the table, Fulham can go into the match with some optimism. Old Trafford isn't the daunting fortress it used to be, as United offer sides more chances these days. A clinical Fulham could find some joy. Here's how Fulham could line up on Saturday.

3. Goalkeeper and Defenders

Sergio Rico (GK) - The Spaniard appears to be first choice over Marcus Bettinelli since Ranieri's arrival. The Sevilla loanee has looked impressive when called upon, and remains Fulham's best bet between the sticks.

Cyrus Christie (RB) - With Timothy Fosu-Mensah ineligible, Christie will most likely deputise at full back.

Alfie Mawson (CB) - Ranieri has settled on a back four which includes the summer signing from Swansea. Mawson's reading of the game will be needed to combat United's forward threats

Dennis Odoi (CB) - Odoi provides the perfect foil for Mawson, which is why Ranieri has trusted the pair since his arrival.

Maxime Le Marchand (LB) - A favourite of both Slavisa Jokanovic and Ranieri, the Frenchman has been a regular fixture in the Fulham back line all season.

2. Midfielders

Callum Chambers (CDM) - Chambers has been deployed in midfield regularly by Ranieri. His defensive instincts make him suited for a ball winning role in the middle of the park, allowing Fulham's more creative players to flourish in the process.

Jean Michael Serri (CDM) - The Ivorian pulls the strings in the Fulham midfield, and he's given more license to do so when next to Chambers. His creativity is a vital part of Fulham's attack.

Andre Schurrle (RM) - The German poses a big goal threat on the right of Fulham's attack. His long range shooting is excellent, meaning Fulham can find a goal from nowhere.

Tom Cairney (CAM) - Fulham's captain brings a guile to the midfield that helps get the best out of the players around him. United's midfield has been porous at times this season, meaning Cairney could easily find pocket of space to devastating effect.

Ryan Sessegnon (LM) - The youngster is starting to find his feet in the Premier League. His pace down the left wing could cause United problems, and a battle with fellow teenager Diogo Dalot could make for interesting viewing.

1. Striker

Aleksandar Mitrovic (ST) - Mitrovic is Fulham's top scorer and danger man up front. A physical battle with Chris Smalling could be in store on Saturday afternoon. The Serb will be looking to add to the seven goals he already has this season.
