Brighton and Hove Albion defender Liam Rosenior has revealed that he is still hurting following the Seagulls' promotion agony last season, but insists him and his teammates could use the pain as inspiration.

"I still think about last season, but we've got to use that disappointment and hurt to go again," Rosenior told The Argus.

The Seagulls missed out on an automatic place a goal difference to Middlesbrough on the final day of the season and Rosenior is optimistic of the upcoming campaign and has targeted promotion.

"Knowing the players and staff, I'm sure we'll use it as a positive tool and we have got a chance of doing something special this year."
